The Quilt was founded by Janice Cooks in 2007 after overcoming life experiences of her own as a result of her love and passion she decided to create a world atmosphere where people can come and be self sufficient, drug free, and stabilize in the community. The
Quilt was incorporated in 2007 and has been providing psychotherapy and consulting
services to children, adolescents and adults since 2000 throughout Metro Atlanta
and surrounding areas. The Quilt Transitional Services, Inc. is an approved provider
with the State of Georgia Department of Human Resources (DHR). The agency has
a local advisory board comprised of human service professionals and licensed clinicians
in Social Work and Professional Counseling. The Quilt
Transitional Service, Inc. has a multidisciplinary staff of Professional Counselors
(LPC), Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Certified Addiction Counselors (CAC), Registered
Nurse (RN), Psychiatrists, (CPS), Certified Peer Specialist, Paraprofessionals, Psychologists and medical practitioners.

It is also the mission to provide a supportive, therapeutic, and stimulating experience
for adolescent who are in transition from adolescence to adulthood.

along with maximizing and utilizing individuals to their full potential in overcoming
the many obstacles and challenges that would impede productive living.
To teach individuals how to become self-sufficient and productive,
as they weave through the many challenges of life. Our objective is to empower
and increase awareness while providing quality of services and treatment, which
will enhance dignity, humanity and self-worth. So that our future of tomorrow
can maintain successful community living.
